Cookie Kiddos - Mama's Helpers!

Clara LOVES to bake and cook and I try and include her in on the baking I do as much as possible and typically do so during Janie's nap so it is a little less hectic. Honestly, Clara has gotten really good at combining ingredients carefully and mixing things well.  She also is great about helping me get all the ingredients out.  We are still working on the clean up portion though...

This year, I took on the task of making cookies for our neighborhood Easter Egg Hunt and then Clara wanted to make some of her own so we spent almost two whole days with a messy kitchen baking and decorating cookies (I did have a crew from the neighborhood to help decorate the 166 we made for the hunt one evening).

This was Janie's first time with the baking and she loved helping out and with lots of careful supervision did a great job, too!

Don't the look so stinking adorable in their aprons!?!

Daddy's Girls

Our girls sure love their Daddy!  And there is no doubt how much Daddy loves his girls!  The past month has been a bit of a strain on our family since Kevin spent close to half of it preparing for and participating in his first trial.  It meant that he spent two weeks in Yakima and we missed him a ton!  Life without Daddy around or any family close by really was a challenge.  We were so thrilled when Daddy announced that he was coming home for the night, even though his trial wasn't over.  He made it in time to tuck both of his little ladies in bed that night and boy were they thrilled!

** I apologize to Kev, these really are not your best photos, taken after a being away over a week for a trial, but the love you have for our girls is evident and adorable to me!

St. Patty's Day Silliness

Our Lil' Leprechauns

Funny thing... for the third year in a row that pesky little leprechaun visited our house, played some tricks and even left a few treats.  The girls started their morning hunting for his mischief and enjoyed the yummy chocolate shamrocks.

After attending a baptism in the morning for a special little Irish baby, we had some fun friends over for a St. Patty's day Chinese Feast!  The kids had a blast and the adults enjoyed catching up.
