Harvest Family Fun in Quincy

This past weekend we were in Quincy to visit with Kevin's side of the family. His parents were just finishing up harvest. We were able to glean apples and pears and enjoy the beautiful autumn atmosphere. Clara thought it was all a big kick! She liked playing with the apples, touching the trees, "riding" on the tractor, and most of all being around her cousins and second cousins!

Clara found the perfect sized apple for her!

Getting Loves from Grandpa Murray and Grandma Carol

Of all the kids, Hailey was the most excited to see Clara. She kept asking if she could keep her! She really was a great little helper and we agreed that maybe she could help babysit sometime.

We all made a family trip to the corn maze, had a pizza dinner and then carved pumpkins at Aunt Amy's house. A lot of fun for us all! The kids did a fantastic job on the pumpkins too!

Pumpkin Patch

Clara & Mommy

Sweet little sunflower
Daddy had the idea to go to the pumpkin patch for a family outing. We had beautiful weather and the place he selected in Redmond was a great facility. There was a petting zoo, corn maze, hay ride and of course, LOTS of pumpkins! Clara seemed to enjoy the chaos of all the other children most. The adorable Halloween hair bow and Jack-O-Lantern socks were gifts from Grandma Jan.

She liked being in the wheel barrow

Daddy's girl

Such a curious little gal, she loves exploring all of the new things. Unfortunately, after touching she typically wants to put things in her mouth!

TEETH!!!

The past week has been quite the adventure as little Clara gets her first teeth. Both front bottom teeth have broke through at the same time and now she is much happier than she was! She was not sleeping as well, had a runny nose and would be fussy (so unusual for our typically happy baby).

Our little Sleeping Beauty
This week we made a fun trip to the Seattle Children's Museum with Hayden, Logan and Christy Fisher. Clara loved watching the other children and had fun with many of the exhibits. We will be sure to go back! Above, Logan, Clara & Hayden are searching for items hidden in packing peanuts. Despite my attempt at diligently watching her, Clara got a taste of one of those foam peanuts!

I just thought this was a fun picture of her wild hair!

Riding in the laundy basket with some toys was a new fun experience - One that Mommy used to do when she was little too!

Fussy Clara, right after being happy, and then quickly happy again two seconds later. The joys of a teething kiddo.

More sweet cowgirl shots! The boots and Texas shirt were gifts from Michele.

Scout is 8 months old!

Clara met little Lucy Blanton this week. Lucy may be the first baby she has interacted with that is smaller that her. Lucy was very sweet and observant of Clara while Clara jabbered and wanted to touch Lucy (and of course, not gently).

To celebrate Mommy's birthday, family, including cousin Taylor, came up for a fun weekend. The girls had fun together and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy, Daddy, Auntie Danielle, Uncle Matt & Uncle Ryan had a night out. Fun for everyone!

Over the weekend Auntie Danielle noticed that Clara's gums looked like they were close to cutting teeth on the bottom. Sure enough, a few days later we were able to feel the bottom left tooth coming through!

As a family, we all attended Issaquah Salmon Days. Scout "won" a lollipop and Kevin gave her a taste of it. She absolutely loved the sweetness and kept trying to take it out of his mouth.

Family photo

At Salmon Days, we ran into the Amiad family and Clara had a chance to see Itai, her buddy who is just a few months older than she.

We had the chance to go visit the Fisher family and Clara enjoyed watching cutie pies Logan and Hayden.

Clara has such a great sense of humor and often laughs until she gets the hiccups!

Clara meets more family and plays in the pumpkins!!

Last weekend, Clara and Mommy went to Rufus, Oregon along with Grandma and Grandpa to meet with family we do not have the opportunity to see very often. It was wonderful to get together and Clara shared a lot of laughs and smiles with everyone.

Grandpa Mark offers Scout her first taste of watermelon - MMMM, GOOD!

Clara also had a little photo session with Grandma and Grandpa Stevens and some of the pumpkins and gourds they have harvested from their garden. Again, she is such a little ham for the camera. The name carved in the pumpkin is something that Grandpa always used to do for Mommy, Uncle Ryan and Uncle Matt when they were little, so it was pretty special when Taylor and Clara started getting their very own pumpkins. Last year, Miss Clara had a smaller one that said "Baby Scout".

She liked holding on to this "Clara sized" pumpkin.

So many smiles for Grandma and Grandpa that it was hard to get her to even look at Mommy! The do get pretty darn goofy though!
