TEETH!!!

The past week has been quite the adventure as little Clara gets her first teeth. Both front bottom teeth have broke through at the same time and now she is much happier than she was! She was not sleeping as well, had a runny nose and would be fussy (so unusual for our typically happy baby).

Our little Sleeping Beauty
This week we made a fun trip to the Seattle Children's Museum with Hayden, Logan and Christy Fisher. Clara loved watching the other children and had fun with many of the exhibits. We will be sure to go back! Above, Logan, Clara & Hayden are searching for items hidden in packing peanuts. Despite my attempt at diligently watching her, Clara got a taste of one of those foam peanuts!

I just thought this was a fun picture of her wild hair!

Riding in the laundy basket with some toys was a new fun experience - One that Mommy used to do when she was little too!

Fussy Clara, right after being happy, and then quickly happy again two seconds later. The joys of a teething kiddo.

More sweet cowgirl shots! The boots and Texas shirt were gifts from Michele.

Scout is 8 months old!

Clara met little Lucy Blanton this week. Lucy may be the first baby she has interacted with that is smaller that her. Lucy was very sweet and observant of Clara while Clara jabbered and wanted to touch Lucy (and of course, not gently).

To celebrate Mommy's birthday, family, including cousin Taylor, came up for a fun weekend. The girls had fun together and stayed with Grandma and Grandpa while Mommy, Daddy, Auntie Danielle, Uncle Matt & Uncle Ryan had a night out. Fun for everyone!

Over the weekend Auntie Danielle noticed that Clara's gums looked like they were close to cutting teeth on the bottom. Sure enough, a few days later we were able to feel the bottom left tooth coming through!

As a family, we all attended Issaquah Salmon Days. Scout "won" a lollipop and Kevin gave her a taste of it. She absolutely loved the sweetness and kept trying to take it out of his mouth.

At Salmon Days, we ran into the Amiad family and Clara had a chance to see Itai, her buddy who is just a few months older than she.

We had the chance to go visit the Fisher family and Clara enjoyed watching cutie pies Logan and Hayden.

Clara has such a great sense of humor and often laughs until she gets the hiccups!

Clara meets more family and plays in the pumpkins!!

Last weekend, Clara and Mommy went to Rufus, Oregon along with Grandma and Grandpa to meet with family we do not have the opportunity to see very often. It was wonderful to get together and Clara shared a lot of laughs and smiles with everyone.

Grandpa Mark offers Scout her first taste of watermelon - MMMM, GOOD!

Clara also had a little photo session with Grandma and Grandpa Stevens and some of the pumpkins and gourds they have harvested from their garden. Again, she is such a little ham for the camera. The name carved in the pumpkin is something that Grandpa always used to do for Mommy, Uncle Ryan and Uncle Matt when they were little, so it was pretty special when Taylor and Clara started getting their very own pumpkins. Last year, Miss Clara had a smaller one that said "Baby Scout".

She liked holding on to this "Clara sized" pumpkin.

So many smiles for Grandma and Grandpa that it was hard to get her to even look at Mommy! The do get pretty darn goofy though!

Another trip to the beach house

This week our family headed down to the beach house to enjoy the last official weekend of summer. Mommy and Clara went ahead of time and met up with Grandma, Grandpa, Uncle Matt and Cousin Taylor. The girls had a blast being together. Clara just stares at Taylor while Tay wants to help in Clara's care, and show her BUGS which seems to be Taylor's favorite thing right now!

Having fun trying to spin both girls at once!

On Thursday night we made it to Manzanita with some of our closest friends. We had pleasant weather to enjoy some time down on the beach. Clara liked to ride in her jog stroller, watch Daddy fly the kite and play with the ball on the beach. All in all she was a great baby away from home, but she was fairly resistant to napping when we were there.

On our way home Sunday we stopped at Grandma & Grandpa's again. The girls had fun going for a ride in Grandpa's wagon.

Happy Clara Natalie!

We have all been enjoying the fabulous fresh apples and pears from Grandma and Grandpa's orchard. Clara absolutely LOVES pears and these little feeder tools allow her to much on them all by herself!

Clara, Mommy & Daddy have been enjoying all of the great weather we have had in the past week by going on walks and being out and about. Clara has been able to frequently wear some of her adorable little dresses, many of which we received as gifts - too much fun for Mommy!

A cute little profile shot - she is fascinated by all of the glass and decor in the living room where we don't spend a lot of time and I sure it soon to be completely off limits once she is mobile!

This dress has her little monogram on it - CMN - how sweet!

Having fun playing with her blocks and stacking rings. She also LOVES to play peek-a-boo!

On Saturday, we attended a fun wedding and Julie and Dan came to be Clara's babysitters. She seemed to have a great time playing and according to them, she wasn't any trouble - YEAH! We find this encouraging and hope to get out together (ALONE) more frequently!

Clara Natalie is 7 months old!

Even at 7 months old, Clara is a big University of Washington fan.  She has an entire Husky wardrobe, courtesy of Michele and makes sure to show her spirit each game day!  Last Saturday, Mommy and Daddy had the opportunity to go to the game and Grandma Carol came to spend the day with Clara.  The had a lot of fun together and we really enjoyed the little break together.

Clara poses with Mommy and Daddy before we left for the game.

Daddy picked out a new toy for Clara who loved it before it was even out of the package!

Looking so darn cute in her Osh'Kosh jumper and special sweater.

Silly tongue!

Clara enjoyed playing with Vertigo while Verti isn't quite sure what she thinks of Clara!
