The day after visiting Snowflake Lane, we attended the Cougar Mountain Zoo Reindeer Festival with the Blantons, Jackson & Christina. It was a cold morning, but we bundled up and enjoyed the animals and company of great friends!

At the Reindeer Festival, Janie and Clara had her first meeting of the season with Santa. With Janie so little last year, it was hard to know how our little Gem would react to meeting him. Right after we sat her down, she gave him this look and remembering all to well the years Clara feared him (the first time with this exact Santa), I was sure that that it was not going to end well.
We even managed to get a family shot!
After our visit with Santa and his reindeer, the kiddos had the opportunity to write their letters to Santa and put them directly into his mail box. Clara & Lucy went to town with their beautiful art work and lil' Janie produced a creation
After a quick trip to see the rest of the animals, most of which were hanging out in their warm shelters, Clara found her favorite part of Cougar Mountain Zoo... the fountain! Even in the chilly weather, we had to remind her to stay out of it!
