On Sunday, we took a fun family outing to the Evergreen State Fair in Monroe. It was our first time to this fair and the first stop was to see the rabbits. Mommy would love to find a new bunny for the girls in a few months, but it has to be just the right one, probably a Himalayan, although this little Mini Satin was pretty darn cute. At first, the girls liked looking at the rabbits, but after 10 minutes were ready to move on, where Mommy could spend the whole day looking.
After looking at some dogs and swinging through the commercial building, we had to find a tasty lunch. Daddy went right for the corn dog. Clara only seemed to be interested in sweets and rides at this point of the day and pouted for a while in the stroller.
Janie, on the other hand, was content riding along and absolutely loved the bites of scone we gave her!
We had a lot of fun checking out the goat, sheep, cats and pigs and were starting to think about round two of food when we ran into Paul Brown, Michele's Dad.
It happened that the Browns were also at the fair that day so we sat and visited with them for a while. The girls were happy to see Michele.
We finished up looking around at the fair museum and some of the old tractors and implements. This may have been Daddy's favorite part.
It was a fun family outing, but we decided that we prefer the Puyallup or S.W.W. Fair to this one and probably wont make it back anytime soon.
