I had myself convinced that the trip to the dentist was not going to go well. The last trip might have left me with major anxiety as Janie cried and Clara wouldn't open her mouth! Brushing Janie's teeth at home had been a continual battle of the wills typically ending in tears so I was braced for the worst. Clara went first, and quickly got over her fear of the noisy "Mr. Thirsty" suction machine and electric toothbrush. Her cleaning ended great, especially since she selected the movie BRAVE to watch from the dentist chair. Then it was Janie's turn... I was absolutely shocked when she held still, opened her mouth and did everything the assistant asked - WHAT!?! No tears, fussing, just pure cooperation. What an eye opener it was for me - this kiddo has been working us all along! LESSON LEARNED!
